A challenge from brother Johnson: a Jehovah's Witness from the local kingdom hall

My name is brother Johnson. I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses from the local kingdom hall where Mike.e lives. I appreciate Mike.e allowing me to use his blog to challenge his readers on some things that I feel that you should know about; namely, that there are things in the Bible that your churches simply do not address. I realize that in the south, many believe in a concept known as the "Trinity." Rather than go into a concept that no one seems to know how to explain or define (I know from experience, having done door-to-door ministry for 10 years now), i'd like to ask a few questions concerning this idea that Jesus is "almighty God."

Its unfortunate that so many of you believe this notion simply because its all you've heard your entire lives. This is what we call a tradition that has no support from the Bible. You believe it because a) your pastor told you, b) your parents told you, or c) you know of a few verses that seem to teach it. I'm here to challenge you all on this idea and prove to you that Jesus is most certainly not almighty God. And because the Bible is so clear on this, i'm not going to elaborate on the verses mentioned. I simply want them to speak for themselves. I think you will all see that the Bible teaches that Jesus was created by God; he is God's son, but not God himself.

"He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. (Colossians 1:15)

-notice that Christ is the "first-born." How could almighty God be eternal and also have been "born"?

"Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. (Proverbs 8:22)

-Christ was "produced"? How could almighty God "produce" himself if he is eternal?

"You heard that I said to you, I am going away and I am coming [back] to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am." (John 14:28)

-The Father is "greater" than Jesus? How can this be if Jesus and God are equal?

"I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." (John 20:17)

-How could Jesus have a God if he himself is God?

"But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God." (1 Corinthians 11:3)

-How could Jesus be God if God is the head of him?

I think these verses indeed speak for themselves and prove conclusively that Jesus Christ is not almighty God. Much more could be cited, but I think this should be enough.
